Microphones: Choosing the Right Tool for the Job

Speakers:
Christopher Currier and Christopher Spahr

Location: Conference Center, 2nd Floor, Blue Building

Time: 3:15 p.m. – 4:15 p.m.

For every craft, there are tools. And for some crafts, choosing the right tool is an easy decision. In the movies, it’s as simple as “the wand choosing the wizard”. But choosing the right microphone for your voice is hardly an easy decision and can often be very daunting. This workshop will talk about the importance of choosing the right microphone for your voice – what to look for in a mic and how to make it work for you. We’ll also cover some basic studio tips and tricks to help accentuate the positive attributes in your voice and eliminate some of the unwanted elements.
